News: FINSYS was featured in a special issue in the Journal of Payments Strategy & Systems
FINSYS was featured in a special issue in the Journal of Payments Strategy & Systems Volume 16 Number 3 published by Henry Stewart Publications with support by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The paper discusses issues pertinent to the vision that the late Prof. Benno J. Ndulu had for Cross-border retail payments in the Tripartite Area in support of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.

FINSYS is pleased to be featured in a special issue on Cross-Border Payments in the Journal of Payments Strategy & Systems published by Henley Publications ahead of SIBOS Amsterdam, this October.
In this publication FINSYS covers, amongst other things, issues pertinent to the vision that the late Prof. Benno J. Ndulu had for Cross-border payments in the Tripartite Area in Support of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
The journal is edited by Gerard Hartsink, FINSYS Advisory Committee member.

Speeches: Paying Tribute to the Late Prof. Benno Ndulu on the First Anniversary of His Passing
Distinguished speakers across Africa and Europe led the virtual symposium on 22nd February 2022 in tribute of the late Prof. Ndulu. Some of the speakers include Prof. Florens Luoga (Governor, Bank of Tanzania), Dr. Louis Kasekende (Executive Director, MEFMI) and Prof. Klaas Knot (President, De Nederlandsche Bank). Speakers shared their fond memories of Prof. Ndulu, thoughts on carrying on his cross-border payment vision and insights on the benefit of a continental free trade agenda.

22nd February 2022 marked the first anniversary of Prof. Benno Ndulu's passing. In honouring his memory, a virtual symposium was scheduled to commemorate his legacy and carry on his mission on "Realizing a Cross-Border Payment Vision for the Advancement of the AfCFTA".
